East Riding of Yorkshire Council offers community and voluntary sector groups, charities, town and parish councils, sports clubs, schools and social enterprises in the East Riding free access to an online funding portal called East Riding 4 Community (ER4C).
Using this portal, local community groups and organisations can conduct and save searches for their projects sourcing government, Lottery and charitable trust funding. Detailed search reports can be produced and downloaded. You can carry out as many searches as you wish, for any local or national funding which might be available for projects based in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
There is also access to information relating to help and advice in using the portal, information about organisations who can offer support, items of local news as well as details about funding events and local success stories.
Launched in June 2023, the new and improved version of ER4C offers:
- A more contemporary, user-friendly appearance.
- Embedded hints and tips, including ‘how to videos’ (Help & Advice section).
- Easier to use search filters, offering instant and more precise results.
- Powerful new keyword search filter to maximise your search results.
Any East Riding resident can set up a free account by visiting: www.eastriding4community.co.uk – you will be asked to complete a short registration form for which you will need a valid email address and when registering on the portal for the first time, you will be sent an email to set up your password. You will be added to the East Riding 4 Community database. In providing free access to ER4C, the council is empowering local organisations to identify and secure funding that can help them achieve their objectives and deliver good outcomes for residents in the East Riding.

The council also runs a website for businesses seeking funding opportunities called East Riding 4 Business. East Riding 4 Business is a free, easy to use website that allows businesses to search for potential funding opportunities relevant to the size and nature of their business and the project for which they are seeking funding for.
